Since 2011 Cheshire West and Chester Borough Councillors have an annual Member Budget to put they can put towards community projects which benefit the ward. This was originally £10,000 per annum, which was reduced to £5,000 in 2016 by the Labour administration.
From 2015-19, Cllrs Charles Fifield, Harry Tonge and Paul Williams chose to club their budgets together and invest jointly to help support a variety of projects. From 2019, Charles and Paul are working closely with our independent ward Councillor to continue to jointly consider projects.
Where possible we prefer to help part-fund projects alongside communities or groups themselves and other funding bodies. Other potential sources of funding can be found at the bottom of the page.
